US Social Forum/Co-Coordinator & Michigan Welfare Rights Chair
Technology that used to enhance labor has now replaced labor, ushering in the greatest alteration of relationships seen in this century. Detroit is the "canary in the mine", who is writhing from this epoch collapse that even takes away the right to drinking water. This workshop will explore the roots of what happened and warn participants about what is coming if we don't organize for a new world.
IntervenantEs:
Maureen D Taylor, State Chairperson/Michigan Welfare Rights Org and Co-Coordinator of the upcoming US Social Forum, happening in Detroit, MI - June 21- June 26, 2010. I hold a masters degree in Social Work, and have been a community organizer working with the National Welfare Rights Union for over twenty years.
