Based on the Charter of the World Social Forum (WSF), the Quebec Social Forum's (FSQ) mission is to seek out, promote and disseminate alternative initiatives and policies that counteract neoliberal globalization.

To achieve this, we seek to bring together groups and individuals that share this goal in one space, so that they can analyze current conditions and build a common vision of our future society -- identifying strategies and sharing best practices in order to make it happen.

As an inclusive and democratic space for citizen engagement and action, the Quebec Social Forum seeks to:

  • Foster constructive, holistic and action-oriented debate on societal issues in Quebec;
  • Encourage active citizenship, both on an individual and a collective level;
  • Share, promote and disseminate alternative initiatives and projects;
  • Stimulate the emergence of concrete actions and the convergence of social movements;
  • Promote a development for Quebec that is sustainable, solidary, just, egalitarian and harmonious.
